No90 Hackney Wick
If you’re exploring Hackney Wick bars, No90 is a must-visit. This iconic grassroots spot is famous for its great cocktails and craft beer selection. Located right on the canal, it features a covered and heated terrace perfect for any weather. They even have a canal boat with a roof garden!
Inside, you’ll find a warm and eclectic mix of handmade wooden furniture and unique murals. Established and run by long-term Hackney Wick locals, No90 is renowned for its good vibes, delicious burgers, and fantastic house and techno music events.
With a late license til 2.30am, this bar often has DJs playing until 6am on weekends in one or both of its adjoining club spaces, No90 Live and No90 Hideout, refurbished at the end of 2023 with sound system, lighting and decor upgrades, making it the perfect place for a night out. Four Quarters East
Our first choice is Four Quarters East and it’s not without some very good reasons. It features a chilled out bar with REAL arcade games from the ’80s & ’90s, plus beer, cocktails & pizza, what more could you want? They serve refreshing beers and some good food at some even better prices. This is the perfect place to relax and sink a few brews with your friends and family. For £1, you can get 4 quarters which means plenty of fun on the games of your choice without worrying about topping up if you don’t want to. While it’s no fancy cocktail bar, Four Quarters East is one bar that guarantees a fun evening.

Beer Merchants Tap
Our other choice is Beer Merchants Tap. Featuring a cafe-style interior and over 500 bottle choices. Beer Merchants Tap is a fantastic choice for anyone who just wants to have a few drinks and chat with some friends or even make some new ones here! While specializing in Belgian and British beers, they have beers from all over the world, just waiting to be served up. They also serve some delicious-looking food and have a burger and hot dog grill out the back in the garden area. When COVID restrictions are no longer in place, you can expect to see Beer Merchants Tap hosting some awesome event days again, and hopefully, those days are not far away anymore.

What a fantastic place. Numerous craft beverages on draft and hundreds in bottles or cans. Like most of the bars or restaurants in Hackney Wick, I assume this was a converted warehouse. The very informal atmosphere, great service, and snacks available. Room to hire for occasions and tasting sessions. Certainly the best selection of beers, etc I’ve seen outside Belgium.
